Ok... This video is not from a Christian artist, and it contains a tiny bit of language and some pretty weird images (whats up with the burning stroller?). HOWEVER, I am posting it because it is a good example of a thought I shared at the Beaver Creek service last week... how we see, all around us, if we just look for it, evidence of the truth of God's nature. We can't escape his Truth, even when we may not intend to reveal it. I'm not saying all things are 'morally good and of God', but that the truth of God's love for us is so pervasive that it breaks out in ways we don't expect it, or don't even intend it. This song (used in the soundtrack for a pretty cheesy movie starring Miley Cyrus), contains the following quote:
"Have you heard, my Mona Lisa... Have you heard who you are? You're the new morning!"
This little lyric leapt out at me, as it is a glimpse into God's amazing love for us, and the new identity we have IN HIM... we are His beautiful creation, His cherished children, a 'planting in His garden for the display of His splendor'... If you are a believer In Christ, do you know who you are? Do you not know? Have you not heard? You are his precious creation, holy, dearly loved... In Christ, you are the New Morning.
Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved... clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Colossians 3:12-13
Glad to see you are blogging again!
